Muff
I saw Chris's post about the tooth fairy and remembered sitting with my 7 year old girl yesterday....we were watching the race on TV and I said Grandma and grandpa are not very far away from where that race is going on...so she pulled out the atlas and we started looking places up......pointing to place she knew and where we have been....we got to the north pole page and she asks whats that? I said its the north pole......well where is Santas place???? why is it not here???? I had to think fast....I said its not on there because Santa can't have people coming to his house all the time....he has got to get ready for next Christmas....he is way to busy to vist......well she thought that was ok....and we went on looking at other places....like Chris said I will also be sad when stuff like that stops happening. aksheephuntress
....that is sweet.... -at the North Pole up here (the town just south east of Fairbanks) there is the "Santa Claus House".....-pretty neat place...-a man and his wife actually are the "Mr and Mrs Claus" ...he even changed his name to "Chris Cringle"...it's on his driver's license... -there are a couple of domesticated reindeer in a corral out back.... -here are interesting links- http://www.santaclaushouse.com/ http://www.santaclaushouse.com/shopcontent.asp?type=visitsch http://www.santaclaushouse.com/shopcontent.asp?type=news

RangerClay
Joe, we took our kids here last summer. We had a great time. The kids met Santa, fed reindeer, got unlimited rides, made ornaments. It was a lot of fun and only a few hours from your house. http://www.northpoleny.com/

Shaun_300
LOL, I can just hear Sarah saying that... gotta love those memories eh Joe.. :D You should take them up to Santa's Village someday, it's just west of Bracebridge. I remember going there when I was a kid and had a blast! http://www.santasvillage.ca/
