I thought it was really neat, especially that the law enf. snipers started out with a 30.06 and now use a .308 with a 165 gr. bullet. I've always heard that they use like a .223 or .243. I'd love to be a sniper though. After training, you could go hunting with your buds, and you would be like "See that nice 8 point way out there?" "You mean that little ant?" "Yeah that's it.
