RTF
Re: My Striper Nice mount. Is that what they call a Kentucky spotted bass (striper) ? We have stripers in the northeast but are a salt water/fresh water fish that run up the rivers to spawn in early spring. They can go three times in size compared to your yours. Anyhow I like it. Nice fish.
Gator
Re: My Striper RTF, I do think that this one is of the same variety that you have there. Some of the rivers here have them in the 30-40lb range.

mvfroggy
Re: My Striper We have the bass in the Northeast. They swim up the hudson to spawn then down and out to the ocean. A local tackle store owner on long island has about 7 50+ pounders to his name. He has been looking for a 60#. The biggest I ever got was this year weighed in at 37.5#. Great fighting fish in the spring and fall. Very nice mount.
RTF
Re: My Striper mvfroggy , do you live in the hudson valley ? I have a friend who fishes for the stripers out of Poughkeepsie, NY during the spring.
mvfroggy
Re: My Striper No I live on long island. I follow the bass from as far west as I can get all the way out to montauk.

Gator
Re: My Striper He weighed a tad over 15lbs, the day AFTER I caught it. I was on the last weekend of vacation, so I just stuck him in a cooler full of ice till I could get home. For some reason, our guide doesn't carry scales
G-Daddy
Re: My Striper My son is doing a replica of a 45 lb striper I caught in Chesapeake Bay. He has the form, and I nose around his shop every time I go over to see if he's working on it. I won't see much this weekend though because he's away at a seminar.
