Now I suppose you will need another new Rifle for that:rolleyes:

I'm getting a little jealous:D

:)-that's funny....-lol-:D:).........

-and....congrats to you on your bear tag you drew!

-that's going to be an awesome hunt-

-no, I won't need a new rifle...but-

-glad you brought that up, Tracy....

-something really beautiful I want to share along those lines, though, with the RT family here....

-and a real testament to how God blesses us,I guess - it was a real humbling, powerful message to me, and "coincidence" of events that floored me....

-please don't think I'm trying to preach, or anything...:o

-it's not that- it's just that you helped me take an opportunity to share something; I just didn't know how, or when it seemed best-

-after I donated my .30-06 for Buckee's fundraiser...then, not 2 WEEKS after I got it sent off to KirkV.....I won a .300 Weatherby Mag. at a banquet.....

-then, when I put my .338 up for auction, for two-pointer....(on which JJL so generously bid on, then floored me by insisting I keep the rifle-)....the .358 Norma Mag that I had had my heart set on for 2 years, was still there waiting for me at a gun show -massively lowered in price...-right before the RT Colorado hunt....

-it was such an amazing thing, and timing....to sacrifice something for another, then to be unexpectedly rewarded in some way- even though a "reward" was not expected, and it was the joy out of being able to do something for friends in need... (and....I'm not sure that a lot of people here knew , that at the time, that the .30-06 and .338 were the ONLY rifles I actually personally owned myself....Terry and I jointly own a few other firearms...and then, he has a collection of his own....

...so, without knowing the .300 Weatherby and .358 Norma would come my way...-I donated the only rifles I had...it was the only way I knew of to give the most that I had-monetarily-to try to make a difference)

.....the clarity of this, and the message God had for me, really spoke to me-

-and, then...the generosity of JJL, with insisting that I keep the .338-

-and the joy, and the things I learned, just seeing so many people here at RT coming together here, giving so much, for friends and fellow hunters in need...

-all of this really affected me...

-I don't need another rifle...-but-

-I may end up donating another one, though....

:)

.... A few quick comments if I could have some of your time............

1. If you are successful on your goat hunt will you be changing your username to AKGOATHUNTRESS...........:D. Or will you just be registering under another name?? Multiple personality disorder seems to be running rampant through the forums as of late. I believe that it has to do with the lack of sunlight reaching the earth this time of year, especially in the northern zones.

2. In all actuality you still only own 2 guns. The Browning A-Bolt .338 is mine. It just lives at your home. I understand that posession is 9/10th's of the law, however, it really is mine. I would prefer it if you would wrap it up lovingly in a warm moose blanket and place it somewhere safe. Preferably under your bed where the children cannot find it................that's right.........you don't have any children. Just keep it cozy for me until I can come to visit. Unless of course I have lost my visitation rights.............:(.

3. Goat hunting can be rather dangerous. Make sure you're SOBER. Keep alot of water in your pack and leave the vodka at home. You might even need to take an extra enema or two before going to flush out all of the evil toxins from your chemically enriched body.

Love Ya..............................:D:D:D

Kathleen congrats on the goat tag! When does that season open and how long does it run?

I can't wait for another day by day blow from Buckee and a monster array of pictures when you happily return with your prize!

But yes make darn sure the medicinal enema's are givin plenty of time to work their magic before you leave!

Excellant post on the guns and the outcome after each one. It is truly amazing what can happen in life indeed. I feel really blessed to know most of the people on here yourself included, only by type and letter and never meeting them in person. I know this will change between us in 6 months time when I come to visit you in the Moose Hunt!

Take care Kirk:)

.....thanks, Kirk-:)

-season opens *Aug. 10th*-:):D ...runs through Sept 20th...

-the permit area is about 10 min. from the house(about 5-6 hours of climbing up from that point, however)....and ...-I will hopefully harvest plenty of time before the moose hunt(don't worry...-I won't let anything interfere with the RT moose hunt-)

-yes...-I'll make sure the enema is after the Mount Marathon Race ...and well before the goat hunt...-lol-:D
