Cuddebacks are the best, kinda expensive.

No offense, but I have to disagree.....just cause they more expensive does not make them better. I've had both recently, and the Leaf River digital is hands down the better camera.......picture quality and ease of use....there is absolutely no comparison.......my Cuddeback will be going on Ebay shortly so that I may pick up another Leaf River.... smile.gif

Re: Digital Trail Cameras

I'd have to say the best is the Penn's woods Digital. But if you're like most people, you're not gonna pay $700 for a deer camera.

I'm in the process of making a camera that's exactly like the Penn's woods only a few extra stuff to make it the way I like it. And I'm doing it for about $280.

Homebrew is by far the best way to go, I, too, was looking for the best digital but I got convinced to build.

Thing is Bond....you can get the Leaf River with the built in view finder at Gander Mountain for $299.00 right now.......that's pretty hard to beat, and so is the camera.......

Good luck on homebrewing yours....can't wait to see some pics...

Yeah but you can get faster shutter time, more MP, and better flash for less money. Just something to think about. laugh.gif

Re: Digital Trail Cameras

That may be true, but I don't have to spend any time building.....just spending the $299 and hanging it in a tree......

Nothing against homebrewing, you can build everything to your specs, and that's great......I simply don't have the time, and thus the Leaf River is the best option for me, and the best buy.......
