Is there a break in period for a semi auto? Thanks
AJ
Re: Franchi 912 steadygrip 12 gauge Sorry, I can't help you with the Franchi. I ahve not shot one in many years. Often semi auto shotguns need a few boxes of ammo run through them before they operate properly with the lightest loads. This is more prone to happen when using light loads with the magnum type guns. mo_hunter
Re: Franchi 912 steadygrip 12 gauge Thanks, I bought a 912 and was wondering if it needed to break or it was a lemon. At first it didn't want to cycle the light loads 1 1/8 winchester super X. I put about 3 boxs thru it and it is cycling better. It has no problems with the high brass. The gun feels really good and sure is pretty with HD camo. I'm going to put a lambsaver recoil pad on to help with recoil and pattern it next week. Maybe after patterning with the big stuff it will start to cycle the light loads perfect.
AJ
Re: Franchi 912 steadygrip 12 gauge My 11-87 Super Mag was the same way. Mine did not like my reloads as they were too light to cycle reliably. I put a few hundred rounds of sporting clay factory loads through the gun and it will now cycle cycle my reloads just fine.
