Yeah you really have to know the lake well when you take a vehicle out onto the ice, there can be 3 feet of ice in one spot and 3 inches the next truck length away! Very dangerous. I cannot believe that people drive out on a lake with a vehicle to fish. If you are walking you can hear what the ice is doing better and could possibly escape easier. Very sad indeed!
