NY911Bowhunter
Re: NY Round Up? Where? Like I said in the PM, I will bring my Fire and Ice Grille - IT MAKES THE BEST EGG AND CHEESE SANDWICHES EVER!!!! I can try to squeeze some targets into the truck. I have a Black Hole, a big square bag, plus those free targets I made out of styrofoam blocks ( I have a turkey and deer.) I'll bring the rolls, eggs, and cheese. If noone has a coffee maker, I have one of those too. The perculator type that goes on a grille, NYBuck, how many stands do you have and what type? (Hangons, ladders, etc?) I may be able to borrow a climber if needed, but I hate them.
NYBUCK
Re: NY Round Up? Where? OK here is a quick preview of the camp. No electric, but has gas lights, and a generator. Nice wood stove and a satalite disk with TV and vcr so if you want to bring hunting tapes that would be fine. Good size gas stove and a gas refrig. Not real big but very confy. 3 double beds, 3 single beds and a couch, plus I have slept in the two recliners. Also did I mention, no inside bathroom, there is an outhouse. We do have a shower. Wait to you see this, it is pretty cool, hot water and all. I am so pumped, this is going to be the longest 30 days of my life.

GWSmith
Re: NY Round Up? Where? Thanks NYbuck that sounds great and I know I'm looking forward to the weekend as well. I will sleep on the floor so it dont bother me any if someone gets the beds. Epic, I dont have any problems sleeping the night before a hunt...no none at all....I dont sleep at night anyways so no problem really....LOL Comes from being a former tractor-trailer driver over the road. I know I am bringing my climber and some ground blinds for others to use if they want to. Wig's has eaten my steak already so he gets to use the one with all the holes in it....LOL Who are the Yankees anyways???? ROFLMBO

MrWiggely
Re: NY Round Up? Where? Ok I dibs on a double bed, Ill share with my teddy bear! ! Jim, do you have room for one more? I have an old hunting buddy that asked if we have anymore room. He would post here himself, but has a hard time reading and writing and understanding the words written in front of him. BUT -- He may just be the funniest person I have ever met. Let me know, I told him I wasn't sure. Wigs

GWSmith
Re: Smackdown in the Adirondack\'s! (NY Roundup) I'll be bringing Timbo over Friday afternoon after a possible morning hunt nearby here. I can do whatever around camp and will be there until late Sunday. I'll be bringing that Turkey I shot this spring already cooked and ready for sandwiches, 20lbs Chicken leg quarters for the grill, and also alot of Ice. I am very happy we have the chance to meet each other and share our passion for hunting as well. I will tell you that this hunt with everyone is just as exciting as if it were a hunt with Mr. Jordan himself...anywhere!!! I wouldnt be suprised if Bill called one of us asking if he could come along as our geust ... OK...I would be suprised but I hear he can cook pretty good so he would promptly be handed the spatula and a chair by the grill.....LOL
Swamphunter
Re: Smackdown in the Adirondack\'s! (NY Roundup) Gary, is there a list of everyone that is attending? What do we need to bring (other than hunting gear)? I don't want to show up empty handed. (I'll have my bow of course )
NYBUCK
Re: Smackdown in the Adirondack\'s! (NY Roundup) OK so this is who we have coming for sure so far ... UPDATES 7:30 AM WEDNESDAY 9-8-04 NYBUCK SUMMERFLOWER GWSMITH EPIC XTREME & A GUEST WIGS & A GUEST TIMBO BUCKNRUT SWAMPHUNTER Then we have some possibles ... ROSSMAN SO RIGHT NOW WE HAVE 10 !!!!! It sounds like everything is coming together nicely. We have two grills and I think Dan is bringing his fire and ice grill. That should be plenty. We have a gas stove in the camp and we have a perculator for coffee, maybe two but bring those of you want. Actually I think we could use our power source for a coffee maker if we need. I would suggest bringing a treestand (if you have a climber, you might do well with that). If not we will have a couple there. Oh I almost forgot, bring a safety belt, no one will be allowed to hunt without one. As for food, it looks like Gary, Dave and Dan are right on track. I would suggest bring whatever you want (or nothing at all). I am sure we will have plenty of food. Coolers would probably be a good idea. As for drinks, I suggest that you bring your own. Alcohol is allowed at camp, just not during or before hunting. I have a bunch of hunting videos and if anyone else wants to bring theres that is fine. We do have a TV with a satalite dish. If anyone has any other ideas feel free to share. Swamphunter, when are you palnning on coming. Last I knew you were just talking Sunday. We would love to have you for the whole week-end. Also I need your email address. Send me a PM.
BuckNrut
Re: Smackdown in the Adirondack\'s! (NY Roundup) I'll bring some home made bread/dough - OK, I use a bread machine, but it's still real good. I'll also bring some BASIC taxidermy supplies/equipment in case someone gets lucky. No, I don't do commercial work (anymore). Slightly OT, I've been practicing on 3D targets more than usual in preparation for the hunt. There's a shooting clup near by with a 30-target course - several bear targets included. I hope everyone is getting dialed in. I also have some extra safety belts if needed. Gonna go video tape some deer tonight. There is a "no hunting" park nearby. At least you get used to seeing deer that way. Looking forward to meeting everyone, Art
NYBUCK
Re: Smackdown in the Adirondack\'s! (NY Roundup) Ok I will put this out there, I hope you guys don't mind. Bill, Jordon that is, if you want to join us, you can. But don't expect to shoot this biggest buck or bear for that matter. In fact if you want to bring that Blanton feller or That Waddell guy that would be ok. But we have one major request, you have to bring Scott. Since he is the one who gets us all together in all reality. I can see it now.... On Realtree next year, Bill Jordon goes to Stratford NY with RT forum members. MrWiggely
Re: Smackdown in the Adirondack\'s! (NY Roundup) Im not sure about that, but I did send the official invite to Scott. My schedule has changed at work, so instead of showing up at 2 am on saturday, I will be there sometime between 7 and 8 pm Friday night, until Sunday. I can't wait to get going!. My wife made me unpack the car last night. Apparently she thinks the kids need to be able to fit in there in order to get to school. Go figure!
