Tominator
I'm really happy for yall AF. What all upgrades did ya get? When you click on the link, click on "kitchen" that appears on the right. Then click on "deluxe kitchen with drop zone." That's the biggest one, that cost $10,900. Then click on the second floor and bedroom 2, then bath. That adds a 2nd bath upstairs for the kids. That was $7,900. The other upgrades are pretty much cosmetic, like hardwood floors in the foyer and kitchen. We upgraded to the 30 yr. shingle too. My wife works for Owens Corning, so we will get 20% of all Owens material back. I don't know how much that is right now, hopefully a fair amount. We're nervous for different reasons. She's nervous about the new monthly payment, I'm nervous about our current house selling quickly for a decent price. Buuuuuuut, it's something we need to do with 4 kids getting too big for this house. This new house almost doubles what we currently have. The_Kat
Chris, don't sweat the housing market. It will rebound. Those upgrades look really nice. You and your wife will have something to be very proud of once it's finished!

stevebeilgard
looks great, chris. i hope all goes well for you.one concern i have is the size of the garage. it will hold only small cars as it's too shallow. maybe see if you can add 4' to the front??? OJR
Good luck with the building of the new house! I always told people I did custom building for they were about to enter into the same thing that a pregnant elephant went through and that was going to last a couple of years! LOL!!! JJL
Money is CHEAP and we're looking forward to paying for ours with the 'new and improved' inflated $$$$$$. If you have a tough time selling your existing home let me know. I have friends in Chicago who specialize in making things like that go away. Pay the insurance and show us where the gas line is.................
