Mount care

Martin, I would say taking a paper towel and dampening it with water and wipe down in the direction of the hair would be best. Same thing goes for the antlers...some guys say to use WD-40 w/ rag to restore luster and give that rich look back into the antlers. I would avoid using anything like this or chemical based as I would be apposed to it tarnishing the mount over a period of time.

For eyes use Windex on a Qtip to clean

I know there was a post a few years ago concerning keeping your mounts looking good..does anyone have any info on what can be done for upkeep on whitetail mounts? What works and what NOT to use? Thanks

my taxidermist tells me to put the pledge gold spray on the horns,, it really makes them look true and lifelike he also tells me to use the wipes to wipe down the hide it takes away all the dust bunnies,, when i get done cleaning they look brand new.. i just cleaned them like a week ago when its time to clean them again i will take before and after photos for you guys so you can tell the difference..
