c_lou
Who thinks it would be wise for the Packers to give up ther #1(9th) and the 3rd rounder they got from the Jets for Peppers? He would be re-united with Dom Capers and get to go to a 3-4 defense, which is what he wants to play in.
PotashRLS
Seems like too much to give up to me. I still can't imagine Aaron Kampman moving to linebacker. He is probably quick enough but it seems to be a huge makeover with a lot of uncertainties.
Jorden
He would be more of a contibutor that most rookies they could draft, but I cant see good old Ted Thomspon giving up a top ten draft pick for anyone. They need to do something but I really dont see it happening. Peppers is off the market and Haynesworth is going to be asking $15-$20 mil which there is no way Ted will pay seeing as he doesnt believe in free agency anyway:rolleyes:. He said in his press conference today that he doesnt expect they are going to resign Tauscher either so they have quite a few holes to fill and unfortunately I dont see any big name free agents coming to Green Bay in the near future but we will see. Hopefully I am wrong. You cant be the youngest team in the league every year and expect to win, they need some veteran leadership on that team...even other players said so. muggs
I'm not a big fan of DEs playing OLB in 3/4 systems. It takes a rare guy to be able to pick up playing pass coverage, especially one trying to do it at this stage of his career. I wouldn't do it. They should be more focused on adding help in that aging secondary. Which they could do with the 9th pick...Vontae Davis is a stud. They also need to resign that Atari Bigby guy. Actually, I hope they don't because I want the Browns to sign him.
