Question!

The reason I asked, I was watching a hunt show on Outdoor channel that was taking place in Ohio and the gun they were using was bolt action and it didn't look like a shotgun. It looked very modern. Shotguns and muzzleloaders only in Ohio.

I haven't seen any new, however, sitting in my gun cabinet is a 1936 Pioneer .410 bolt action that my great-grandfather bought and that my grandma used to shoot pheasants with when she was young. I've never shot it and would want to get it checked out before I do, but there may come a time when my hand strays from the 12 ga. double barrel to the old timer in the corner for one or two last pheasant hunts. ;) You never know.

I used to have a bolt 410, very sweet gun I gave next to nothing for. But like an idiot, (i was like 13) i had to make a snake charmer out of it. Cut the stock to a pistol grip, and cut the barrell down to 6 inches. Let's just say it didnt pattern well, and later the Clarke county sheriff's office decided it was better for them to hang on to it. My buddy has a "Super Goose 10" bolt action ten guage with a 36 inch barrell. Ya think that on kicks? Duh......;)
