stcif
Hey everyone I wanted to post this link so you all coule read about this tree stand. It is quite innovative. My cousin has an investment in this company and I told him I would spread the word. I believe there is a link in the Realtree site for this stand as it uses realtree camo. It is high qaulity, very light and strong, and super quiet. Here is the link http://treestandhunter.com/ Let me know what you guys think of it. Thanks. redkneck
Honestly, noise isnt much of consideration for me when using a lock-on. Climbers are a different story. I think it looks pretty good, but i would have some reservations as to buying plastic. I am quite sure it wont break, but i'd want to stand on one to see how much it flexed before i bought one. GWSmith
Scott, I wonder if they would let me drive over there and check these stands out in person...their shop is only 20minutes away from here:cool:
stcif
I'll get you an answer on that. I don't think they would mind. Thanks for reading guys.
fly
I'd have to try it out as well. One can't be too safe when it comes to tree stands. A safe climbing stand under 15 pounds with a large platform would be a seller.
stcif
Climber under 15 pounds! That would be real nice. My O'l Man climber is heavy. Last time I used it I carried it on my back with my backpack hooked to the stand. I was dead tired by the time I got to my tree, and sweating. Wish I had the wheeler that day. dbHunterNY
Scott, I wonder if they would let me drive over there and check these stands out in person...their shop is only 20minutes away from here:cool: Same here but I'm a bit farther, but still in NY. Sometimes I pass through that area. - Dan
dbHunterNY
My Summit climber is slightly over 14 lbs., but its platform is quite a bit small than this treestand. Hang-on stands are so great because of the bigger platform. - Dan
wtnhunt
Definite plus that it is an American company. Interesting idea, I saw where the company is a member of the tma, but did not see anywhere saying that this stand was tma approved, assuming it is and that they have done plenty of testing. Still think I would be a bit nervous about a resin stand. How do they overcome the noise factor, plastics against plastics can still squeak? ruttinbuc
I'd be a bit concerned about sliding off the platform with any amount of moisture present. It says it has edge technology, but I would not think that little rib is going to stop much. I'll stick with my Lone Wolf for weight and quiet... hyperflow
I hunt often in -20 to -30 deg and well plastic normaly comes brittle in cold temps. That and wouldn;t like to see how slipery that would be with snow on it. Im a very athletic person so i dont mind having my summit 180max strapped to my back. Lonewolf alpha sit and climb is the most uncomfy treestand i have ever been in.
Bova
Video of True Quiet Tree Stand Hey, I was in the forum, saw all the comments and did a little research. I found this youtube.com video which explains a lot. Personally, I believe the product has merit. You can check out the video by clicking on the link. RTF
I could have sworn I have seen these stands somewhere. Are they on display in Dick's Sporting Goods at the Sagertown Mall in Utica ? I know I have seen a stand made out of the same material somewhere.
mike13candace
Looks like it would work... I have a wide variety of brands that I have purchased over the years.. Hunting in the North East has a mix of weather.. as far as slippery is concerned you can glue a piece of carpet on the platform..

stcif
They might be at Dicks. I am sold on the quality here. Might be time to get rid of my old stand which is on the heavy side.
