Dakota
Hey all, I'm thinking of breaking in my Outback on some thirsty August South Dakota pronghorns. I have the watering hole in mind as I shot my buck and doe by one on opening day rifle season last year. We saw a bunch of does and some real nice bucks hanging around there last year and I was thinking of doing a little pre-rifle season scouting with my bow there this year. My question is which blind do any of you recommend for hunting speed goats over a watering hole? Or any certain tactics you may prefer as well, decoying etc... Any help would be greatly appreciated. As of right now I'm just thinking of hugging the fenceline like I did during rifle season. It's worked well for me so far as I shot both my buck and doe within bow range. Thanks! buckee
A burlap blind seems to work well in Wyoming How about going portable, and getting the shadowshield www.theshadowshield.com/

Dakota
You should share how you make an "antelope half blind". Sorry, couldn't resist. :D Yeah, Steve, the pump-station is in the chest cavity not the head! :D That looks interesting, but I'm almost leaning towards using a decoy. JJL
I prefer to use the one that the big boys like to drink in front of.

Dakota I knew that smarty :D By the way, when I got home, I found out my bow was shooting off. You guessed it..it was shooting to the right and high. I'm still trying to figure out how the sights or possibly the rest got moved, between Montanna and Gillette.

stevebeilgard
dakota, my burlap blinds do work great. but, for a portable blind the double bull is by far the best.
Leo
The same holding company that owns Primos also owns Double Bull. The Primos Escape blinds are a darn good blind for the money
Dakota
Thanks all, I was also looking at the Ameristep blinds as well. Hey Steve, how long does is usually take for the antelope to get used to the blind? If I do go out in August it will basically be for just a few days to do some scouting before rifle season (that is, if I decide whether or not to hunt antelope over elk) and perhaps bag a doe or, if I'm lucky, a decent buck. So I won't have any time for the antelope to get used to the blind. What do you guys think? Dakota
