de_ballew
I just want to say that I support our troops and the war in Afghanistan but, I feel this could get VERY UGLY. Bin Ladin has been in Pakistan rebuilding his army and supplies and is ready to fight. This is the same man that was trained by the CIA. He also said that he would eventually bankrupt the United States. Folks, this man has took down Russia. We Americans just need to pay close attention to this or we could be next. m gardner
To make matters worse Pakistan has nuclear weapons and the terrorists are in the Swat Valley which is 100 miles from Islamabad, the capital. We need to jump on this one in a hurry. Mark
de_ballew
This might sound nuts. I think Obama is trying to bankrupt the US. I say this because of how he hurried everyone to pass the stimulus and now is loading up troops in to Afghanistan. It sounds to me he is intentionally trying to bankrupt the country. The perfect storm.
pendog
Drove by our local move on . org people this weekend as they were doing their weekly war protest, man did they look sorry out there freezing and supporting Obama who is sending more troops to the war zone?????? The only change i have seen is in their propoganda signs and how they say nothing anymore about change and how Obama will make it all good. The perfect storm. I don't think it is nuts to think that. Everyone, including conservatives, are trying to stay politically correct and don’t want to come across as some crazed right wing fanatic. They are scared to question our government (which seemed ever so popular to do in Bush's terms) because they may even be tagged a racist. This is way beyond that. We used to take extreme measures to protect our rights from the ever so powerful government. Now we have a wait and see attitude which will eventually be the downfall of us. Obama using our lands as collateral does not sound that extreme to me at all. We will know for sure once it is too late though. Stand up for what is right! Question everything! Don’t worry about labels put on you, your opposition sure doesn’t worry about being crazed liberals!

What a slap in the face of EVERY American, who is Proud to be American. This is who the public made president... Oh man... our children's/country's future is in jeopardy like NEVER before. de_ballew
I honestly can't believe people actually think by spending 1 trillion dollars that it will bring back a 50% return. If that was the case don't you think our government would have already done it? I guess Obama is the smartest president ever. Adjam5
At least W made an effort(a bit embarrassing for a president, I agree). Not hands crossed with a look of indifference. What was he thinking? GW's patriotism has never been questioned either like some others on that stage. The flag on his lapel, and the heart crossing for the national anthem photo ops were all after the beef of him NOT doing it. So it was more along the lines of damage control. Muggs, I do pray for BHO to do well, but if he takes a stance against ANYTHING I believe in. I will resist and oppose. He has shown me nothing yet, except how to create more debt.( hey that rhymes:D) I hope I am wrong about BHO. Then that means America will be doing well and my constitutional rights will not be whittled away at. Mainly, as long as he gets the parts about not infringing;). No other amendment has that language in it, but the 2nd.
Ohiobucks
Hey, Dub-ya, it's located a little higher... I'm going to go out on a limb here and say the Yo'mamma pic was taken sometime within the past few months, after it was pointed out to the whole world that he doesn't put his hand over his heart during the Pledge. And I'm willing to bet that the pic of W was a snapshot of him in the process of moving his hand up to his heart.....

Either way, it's all mere speculation Tom. Yo Momma is at the helm now, he needs our support, and Lord knows, somebody has to turn this economy around. If this administartion can do that, or at least turn it around and start some actual growth in this country we'll all be the better for it...then we can start worrying about the fact that one picture caught him with his hands folded...I could go out on my own limb and bet he was just deep in thoughts of how to fix the Nation's problems at the time and hadn't yet moved his hand to his heart. Some of us don’t wait for a politician to change our lives, we take it upon ourselves. Anytime you count on another human to fix your problems, you will surely be let down. How about we start with the 300+ million people in this country fixing our own problems individually? As for your comment on "start some actual growth", did we become the most powerful country in history without growing in the past? Unless you truly believe this man is the messiah, I wouldn't get your hopes too high based on information you got during a media obsessed campaign. If this administartion can do that, or at least turn it around and start some actual growth in this country we'll all be the better for it...I realize you're young and may not have lived through a major recession like the one we had in the late 70's, but believe it or not, given enough time this economy WILL turn around without any help from the government. That's just the nature of a free market, capitalist system. What the government can do is attempt to influence the system through policies. Hopefully, those policies will result in longer periods of growth and shorter periods of decline. But those declines are inevitable, as are the boom years. Of course there is also the very real possibility that government intervention can actually prolong the down cycles, like Roosevelt's policies did during the Great Depression.
