whttlbucksteve
I left my house at 6:00 to go to Powerton cooling lake to do some fishing.I get there and there are 30 mph winds gusting to 40,do I let this stop me no.It is 1 mile walk to the spot to fish, the wind is blowing steam over the gravel road so it's all ice.Yea you guessed I landed flat on my back.I got up and fished anyway that wont stop me lol.It was a pretty good day of fishing any way.Caught alot of carp from 8 to 20 lbs and some nice White Bass wich I ate for dinner. All were caught on a Red eyed shad lipless rattle bait,I love these baits they catch everything. But now I am sore from the fall but it was worth it to me.So now hope I can get some sleep and feel better in the morning. If I let the cold and wind stop me I wouldn't have been out in November to do some whitetail hunting. Good for you sir!! Way to Man UP!!!!! Randy
Every time I head up north Musky fishing, the weather guy says it will be a bit breezy. We soon figured out that "breezy" means 30+ mph winds. The only good thing about it is you can cast a lot further! I'm glad you had fun and caught a few fish, hopefully your back will feel better soon.

Was the record for having a big fish, or for being the only one in the state willing to go out in 40 mph winds to fish.
