Tominator
Earlier today some knucklehead started a fire in a locker. Whole school emptied for about 20 minutes, 2 fire trucks and the marshall came out with the arson squad to try and figure out how and who started the fire. No suspects yet. Kid will likely be facing arson charges and hopefully will be expelled. I saw the principal after it happened, and she was madder than a wet hen fo' sho'. c_lou
Were you giving a test today that somebody didn't study for? Some kids today are just knuckleheads.

Adjam5
Amazing how some kids have no clue as to the danger stuff like that creates:mad:. Hope they get 'em.
wtnhunt
Imagine more than just the principal would be angry. Hope the punk gets caught and taught a lesson.
RangerClay
Imagine more than just the principal would be angry. Hope the punk gets caught and taught a lesson. Yeah the school board. I'm not sure about Ohio but here in New York, everytime a fire truck pulls up the school district gets a bill. Last I knew it was $800 for a pulled false alarm. One bright side of this is that the fire was not a distraction to get kids outside for target practice. Hope you have cameras in the building like we do. Good luck getting them. Tominator
Imagine more than just the principal would be angry. Hope the punk gets caught and taught a lesson. He/she will be caught, it's only a matter of time. I had 8 students that period, and all of them were in class at the time. Kind of funny, but I had to meet with an architect for planning our new computer labs that we will be getting in the next couple years so I wasn't able to go to the restroom between classes like I normally do. I went to the restroom minutes, seconds before this kid lit the fire. I literally just missed it. We'll catch them. The kid will be facing felony arson charges, and probably (hopefully) be expelled. mike
I am sure ou will get the kid. In most cases they just can't keep their mouths shut and brag to someone then the whole schools nows. But unless the the kid confesses or you have hard evidence it will be hard to stick charges on them.

layin on the smackdown
wow...what idiots....kids use to do things to disrupt school in my day...but actually lighting something on fire...wow...that is grounds for dismissal... Doe-ee
I'd like to think this arsonist was just misguided and had no idea of the possible consequences, but nowadays it is too often true that they know full well what could happen and simply don't give a darn. Shameful.
NY_Bowhunter14
what a knucklehead for sure... my junior year in high school (2005) we had a kid that made a total of 8 bomb threats during the school year before he was finally caught... my senior year (2006) i think we had 1 or 2... kids think this stuff is funny, and i just don't understand why... Hope the kid learns his lesson now. Guessing he will get tossed, are they going to tack on arson charges?

Guessing he will get tossed, are they going to tack on arson charges? I sure hope so William. I've never had the kid in class, but I do know he's a special ed. student. He is cognitively impaired. The sheriff hauled him away in cuffs.
