I already have a scope for it, but am unsure whether I should just get a encore barrel (like the one in the classifieds) or if I should get a seperate gun. I love my encore and figured it would be cheaper to just get the barrel. Are there any pro/cons of just getting a barrel versus a totally different gun? Of course if money was not an issue I know I would get a different gun but I really do not have to much to spend. I have a .300 win mag barrel for my Encore I put on after muzzle loader season ends and it has worked out great. Check out the Dead Nutz scope mount, it worked out really well on mine. It just depends on the situation. I have taken four shots at long distance with a bolt action but I was in a large open field and the coyote didn't know where the shot was coming from. But a single shot will make you think and concentrate more about the shot.
