Tom2008
Hello everyone. Its been a long time since I've posted on here. Thought I'd swing by and see how everyone did in the deer contest this year and catch up on whats going on. Maybe make a few posts too. My girlfriend picked up taxidermy last fall and she is loving it. Matter of fact she is mounting a red fox right now. Here are some pictures of her work. We are planning on starting up a little business in the future. Working on cards, website, and mounts right now. I'm the skull cleaning part of the business, but am thinking about being taught a little bit from her just in case we need extra help. By the way she is self taught. First deer she mounted was her first deer ever. A 6 1/2 year old doe. She never put up any finished pictures of it. This was her 2nd mount though. I shot a 30 lb raccoon for her. She did an antelope after that, but we have no finished pictures of it up yet. My cousin's boyfriend's first buck and he paid for it too. Her 3rd mount over all. Here is the deer I shot this year. Hit by a car with both antler broke off. A couple of scars and a bald spot. He was good practice for her. A coyote that my buddy donated to us. This was a road kill yote that a friend dropped off. A red fox. A squirrel I shot with bow.

Zambo
Great looking mounts. I really like that first yote you have pictured, the one donated to you. The red fox looks like it is a photograph. She has the facial expressions as real as I have seen. Very impressive for self taught. She is a natural. Have you two picked up any sheds this year? fly
Matter of fact she is mounting a red fox right now. Wasn't he the star of Sanford and Son? Didn't know taxidermists did work on celebs. Seriously, she seems to have the touch. Nice looking animals there.

We haven't found anything this year so far. We've only been out three times though. We have a website up, but we just don't want to fully release it yet till we make sure everything is perfect. Price depends on what you are asking about. Shoulder mounts for deer? bear? coyote? fox? what? haha

Thank you everyone for ALL the nice comments, im no expert but I do put everything ive got into all my mounts. Ive got a hanging opossum, and a running red fox in the works right now...and many mounts to still do. Coyote, Fox, Ermine, lamb, and a 1/2 life size deer to name a few. Thanks again! ~Kelsey
