layin on the smackdown
i have spent the majority of the last 2 1/2 hours of my saturday (first saturday off in a while nonetheless) picking up dog logs that, since the snow is finally gone, have decided to reveal their ugly little faces....let me tell you what, the accumulation of 4 months of this stuff is rather overwhelming.... lets do the math...I have 2 dogs... assuming 4 months = 120 days, and each dog takes, on average, 2 poops a day...we are talking somewhere in the ball park of 480 little piles of doggy sunshine (120 x 4)....give or take a few. I am on my 3rd 5 gallon bucket full, and i am not even 1/3 of the way done...I could really use some back up... I hope everyone else is having a great day:D

layin on the smackdown
so during this entire ordeal i have discovered something....let me elaborate... Just because there are 480 hypothetical land mines doesn't necessarily mean that i will have to methodically pick up 480 piles of fun...i have learned this first hand....For instance, my lab walks while pooping...so he leaves behind something that resembles a diver string...one long line of miny logs, which equates to about 5 to 6 scoops per line... the other dog, he likes to centrally locate one area of the yard to use, and seems to use up every square foot of that area before moving to another area...similar to the "urban sprawl" phenomena, as he "develops" one community, and maxes it out, then moves to the next "area of development" and continues this process... i think i have reached the half way point...and i have yet to receive back up support.... redkneck
Dan, I almost busted a gut!! The comparison to urban sprawl just about killed me! My chocolate used a more tactical approach before he got nailed by a car. He'd drop 'em in high foot traffic areas. My five month old yel female hasnt developed a dependable pattern yet, we're still fighting bladder control issues when she runs in the house and gets petted the first time in a few hours, she'll spill a cup or two in excitement.
