Funny Story

I was looking in the freezer thinking of what to cook today and saw some corn on the cob. Reminded me of a story daddy told me. When they were kids, my grandfather, like most ppl then, raised a few hogs. When cold weather came and got time to kill one or two, they'd do like most of us have done and put a round between the eyes. This always bothered papaw because he really liked to eat the brains. One day he had the bright idea and took a 12 ga round, cut out the shot and whittled down a cob to slide into the paper shell. He would simply knock out the hog and enjoy the brains after all. The man was also bad to drink i might add. When he pulled the trigger, the cob bounced off the hog, and hit him square between the eyes, knocking him to the ground. I dont know if the story has a moral, but i'm bored this morning..... :D:D

That's pretty funny Red.

Wonder if he fell to the ground after getting hit?

If he would have been wearing a safety harness he wouldn't have.:D

:p

I get it, I get it!!! I even went out to the shed this morning to look at my harness. I think i'll get the HSS, looks a lot more comfy than the one that came with my treestand. :)

heheheee

As a kid growing up I had scrapple quite a bit for breakfast. Always wondered what it was made of. I figured scrap meat cuts.

Then a buddy of mine took me on a friend of his dad's farm for the fiirearms deer season when I was around 15 or so. Mid day we were bored and walked around. We found the farmer in a shop room butchering a pig. The pig's head was on the table. I said what are you keeping that for? He said "Where do you think scrapple comes from?" :D
