coles
He came to Great Falls Montana today. How many times does the President come to Montana. not very often. we were stading outside in the line that was aobut 5 miles long and Air Force 1 flew over. that was awesome. then we got to see his motorcade when he left. that was pretty cool too. he was there for about 4 or 5 hours but it was one of the coolest things i have ever seen. i wont forget it and hopefully i get to see him again when i go to D.C. in April. i really wanted to go talk with him about hunting. that would have been cool. just thought i would let you know
Shaun_300
Re: i saw the President of the United States today. wow coles!! thats awesome! i was in the same room as the governer general of Canada before. that was neat. also was in the house of commons and the senate, on a class trip, thats in the parliament buildings (equivalent to the white house) in Ottawa. this is the capitol of Canada so thats where the government and the prime minister (same as your president) discuss certain things and pass laws and stuff. really neat

RangerClay
Re: i saw the President of the United States today. Don't listen to MikeT! I would probably talk to the President about hunting or fishing myself. He has enough to worry about without backseat drivers blowing smoke in his face. I envy you and wish I could see him myself. slugshooter
Re: i saw the President of the United States today [ QUOTE ] best economy in 20 years, miket. lowest unemployment in 45 years. lowest interest rate in 75 years. lowest inflation rate in.... you get the drift. and, bush is a pro hunting hunter. [/ QUOTE ] Are you including the 3.5 Trillion deficit in that best economy figure? The lowest unemployment rate in the last 10 years was 3.9 in Late 2000, the previous year and a half it stayed between 4.0 and 4.2, it started going up after Bush took office and is now at 5.2. Define what you mean by interest rates cause it seems to me a lot of people don't even know what it means when Greenspan announces he is lowering interest rates and finding anything on the Federal Reserve website you need to be an economist. As far as interest rates, well, you can blame retailers for that, the President has as much control over that as he does interest rates. stevebeilgard
Re: i saw the President of the United States today yes, i do include the deficite, which is grossly overweighed with "entitlements". and for interest, remember the glorious carter days of 21% yearly inflation, 23% interest? wasn't that wonderful??? i prefer the lowest home interest rates in 65 years. i prefer the lowest car loan rates in 40 (or so) years. i prefer todays unemployment to any rate in the past 50 years. in fact, i like everything about our economy, especially compared to other parts of the world. like liberal france, germany, etc....
