PotashRLS
I drew a tag for May 20-24, the last week of Wisconsin's hunt. Will be warm and buggy. Probably want to be food plotting too. Either way, I have a long time to wait.

deer huntin k-man
Like everyone else im good with pretty much anyname. Out of the ones above I think I like Spurred Assassins the best. Im trying to come up with something creative to add to the mix also. All I have so far is something like Team Click Click Boom. Kind of after the old Benelli commercial. I picked up a new turkey gun for this season a couple of weeks ago. I got the Mossberg 835 deer/turkey combo and put a red dot on it for the turkey season. I hope to get out and pattern it sometime soon. Hopefully it brings me plenty of luck this season.

BamaTrae
So...Spurred Assassins? I kinda think that's lame. Sorry. Can we just be "The Turkey Hunters" or "Daddy's Little Fattys"??? I'm still stuck on a name. And drunk.

jcwa
Ok guys. I'll be leaving Sunday for a 4 day hunt. I hope I'll have one to add to our score. Last year I called in 12 jakes, this year there should be some big boys wondering around.

Washi
It seems every time I get a bird coming in I will hear a real hen come along and intercept him. I also had a single jake and then a group of six jakes and a long beard completely ignore my my decoys and calls this morning. Hopefully things get better soon. The season is about over. Washi
The season is over and no bird for me. Sorry guys. I almost had one the last day. Me and my daughter only heard one bird on Saturday so we tried somewhere different on Sunday. We got there a little late and heard one bird fly down while we were setting up. That had me a little worried but after we got settled in we could still hear about five different birds gobbling. We had two birds that were pretty close. Both sounded like they were sitting toght and wouldn't come in soI just kept calling off and on. I then saw some movement through the woods but wasn't sure if they were hens or jakes. I quit calling hoping the decoys would draw them in. I didn't see movement for while so I started calling again and here come three jakes. Only problem is they were coming out on my right side and I would have to try a left handed shot. My daughter had an easy shot though so she said lets both shoot on three. Okay, I thought that would work. Only problem was when she shot I either jumped or peeked to see if she got her bird and mine got away. Then about 20 minutes later just to rub it in one of the birds that had hung up comes flying down onto the rigetop we are on. He was 200 yards away but this ridge is covered in grass so I could see him. He looked big. I started to call to him and immediately heard a real hen call to him. He started strutting and a few minutes later I see her coming out of the woods and just start feeding around him. She feeds and he struts for a full hour while my calls are completely ignored. Eventually she fed off into the woods and he followed along. Good job to you who did get a bird and good luck for deer season (and fishing too).
