Recommended Posts

Hey team just checking in. Any name is fine with me.

LOL, right back at ya Dakota!! ccwhitey is one of my buddies from back home as well. Hopefully us Illinois boys can get it done and we can bring home the championship this year!!!!

Now don't go jinxing us just yet kyle.:D Actually I can't believe I have to be on the same team with you again.:p I have drawn a second and fifth season tag. Don't know the dates off the top of my head. This year I decided to just hunt with my bow so it should be an interesting year to say the least:D

Well, there has been a slight change of plans for me. I was planning on hunting Newton Hills State Park close to home opening morning but it sounds like the only time the WY/SD Black Hills trip will work for Jim and Pete is opening weekend. Hopefully I'll be able to smoke a beautiful WY Merriams longbeard for the team and then bag a hefty SD Merriams limbhanger as well. Once I get back from that trip I'm going to hunt hard with a few buddies I work with on the local NWTF chapter committee in NHSP and see if I can smoke a love struck tom with the Mathews. I just hope that NHSP won't be too pressured on opening weekend; it has taken me 4 years to draw this tag and I'm not leaving without a bird! :D I'm going to have to talk with SD G,F&P because I am not quite sure which subspecies I'll be hunting in Newton Hills. I actually think it holds all 3 SD subspecies (Merriams, Eastern and Rio) and hybrids as well. We'll see, only 29 more days! :D
