horst
Earlier this week one of the kids dads who rents apartments behind my house stopped over.Im pretty good friends with them and he told me my dogs had been barking, his kid works nights and couldnt sleep during the day with them barking. No problem I told him, except right down the alley theyve been remodeling a house and putting up a new ambulance shed and another guy whos mom just dieds been hauling her stuff out and setting up for an auction all week. This much commotions got every dog on the block going nuts all day long. The first two days of this week Ive actually been home most of the day.The only dogs barking a lot have been the nieghbors on the other side of me.Mine are actually very quiet compared to thiers and only start barking when theirs do. But everytime Ive left this week somebodies been in my yard screwing with stuff.Came home one Monday and my oldest boys bike wasnt in the front yard.Found it out back right next to the dogs laying on its side, the dogs had pretty much ate the seat off of it.Also the hose had been turned on and thrown into my pond and left to run all day long.Next night the hose was again on and running down the yard all day. Also a bucket and cardboard box were floating in the pond.I though it was probably just young kids messing around and wasnt to upset at that point, I unscrewed the hose and left it at that. But tonight I came home and someone had actually been inside my garage, picked up a 50 lb bag of dogfood and dumped onthe floor, took a big tupperware container of the kids toys and dumped em in the dog kennel and went through and threw a bunch of other stuff around. So now Im pretty sure it aint little kids and Im pretty upset with the mess they left.Im friends with all these kids dads that are living behind me but Im pretty sure thier doing it.I hate to have them arrested so Im hanging a note out tomorrow on the side of the garage that says if one more thing winds up missing, moved or left on Ill call the sheriff and have em arrested for vandalism, tresspassing, and breaking and entering. And if they got a problem to quit being sissys and come see me about it.I had to edit this a little for in here but Im thinking about adding in a bluff that Ive got pictures of them back there that I got with my trail camera LOL Maybe if the sleepy little turd got outta bed and looked out his window he would notice its not my dogs that are keeping him up, becuase thats the only thing I can figure this would be about
total disaster
Re: Getting a little angry!!! maybe getting pics whith a trail camera might just be what you need to put some fear in them!!! or just put a sign "watch out for bear traps" LOL
IowaDeerHunter
Re: Getting a little angry!!! Get a pic of them in the act, make a copy and post a copy of it for them to see or go confront them with it. If you went and talked to them about it without a picture hey would probably deny it and you would feel bad. Because maybe it ist them. BUT if you got a pic and confronted them with the picture then what could they say "that ain't me"!

Palssonater
Re: Getting a little angry!!! That exactly why I don't get a long with the city. Lived in a small town for like 11 years and never had a problem with dogs. Moved to the big city and immediately started having problems. Here's my dog story.... My immediate neighbors are great and even want my dog to come and visit once in a while. One neighbor even comes and borrows him to wake up his wife once and a while. However there is an older retired Airforce Pilot down the way. I train the dog everyday out in the open field behind my house. He's the most trained dog that field has roaming in it. Other people bring there dogs there to have some off leash fun as well. Anyway....one night I was training and then all the other dogs showed up so I let Blue play with them. I puppy's gotta play! Just shortly after they all left I was finishing up training. All of a sudden "Tex" (that's right a canadian that nicknamed himself "Tex") comes marching accross the field waving some bylaw book saying that I can't have my dog on there without restraint. When I informed him of the tritronics collar around Blue's neck he simply said "Whatever the Fudge that is, I am going to call the cops" And with that he marched off. Cops must roll there eyes at dips like this. So this TEX singled me out of the group to confront. Old buggers with nothing better to do besides read the city bylaws drive me crazy. Screw it! I bought a house on a farm. ha ha ha. Big cities are garbage.
10acboy
Re: Getting a little angry!!! A little angry? I would be livid right now! I would set up the trail camera for them and see who it is. This is the kind of bull#&%* stuff I don't understand. Good luck, I hope that you catch them. HarvDog
Re: Getting a little angry!!! I've got a neighbor like that...old retired guy and his wife that can't keep their noses out of my business. We don't really have "dog" issues but I always find him roaming around in the back (not actually "in" my yard) sort of inspecting my landscaping, deck, etc. I caught him back there the other day and came right up to him and asked, "Is everything okay?!?!" I don't think he knew what to think but responded, "I hope so" then put his little retired tail between his legs and went back inside." Hee hee hee. The bigger problem has been parking. Oh my goodness! I honestly believe that they think they own the public road. Here's the sitution, I have space in front of my house along the road but that's where my mailbox and a fire hydrant are located. The USPS has asked that I not park there so the postman can deliver the mail from the truck...ok whatever. And I know that I can't park in front of the hydrant. There is also some space on the other side of my driveway; about 8 feet width in front of my property. Well, normally I park all of my cars in the driveway anyway so it's a rare occasion when I need to park a vehicle on the street; maybe when we have people over or something. Anyway, it seems like everytime I park a vehicle on the PUBLIC street on the other side of my driveway, they have a problem with it. Well....one weekend my brother-in-law (NYPD) was visiting and returned at one point to find my father-in-law's little SUV parked in that space with a note on the windshield from the neighbor. OH BOY! My brother-in-law is very particular about vehicles and very protective of his family. He grabbed that note and went straight up and beat on their front door. The old man answered and looked terrified. My brother-in-law kindly explained that they didn't own the road and that if they touched any of our vehicles again, he would personally plaster stickers all over their vehicles. He stuck the note to their front door and matched off. Oh man...the guy was scared to death! I've tried to be nice about the whole situation since I have to live next to them but they messed with us on the wrong day that day. They haven't left anymore notes but did say something the ONE time a vehicle was parked there in like 3 months. UGH...it's so frustrating. I've considering borrowing my buddy's old beat up pickup he uses for snow plowing just to park it their for like a year...maybe even with one wheel up on the curb. Still trying to be neighborly... I use my web cam to keep an eye on them. :grin

This guy's wife suffered a heartattack around Christmas. While she was in the hospital, he told my father-in-law that we were welcome to park in this spot (which we only did occasionally). Well, of course, after his wife recovered and the very first time I parked there, I got a note. I wrote a very nice but direct letter back to her explaining that this was a public street and that her husband even stated that he didn't have a problem with it. Well...you're not going to believe this...within one week, a fairly new car with temp tags showed up, first in their driveway, then in that space on the street. I haven't confirmed who owns the car yet but I believe she actually went out and bought another car JUST to park it in that spot. These people are just plain crazy! It's ridiculous but I continue to be a good neighbor to them. Even though, I would just love to put an end to her non-sense once and for all. I'd love to hear your thoughts. Ya baby!Thats one sweet unit!I would get the stealth cam out & if I didnt have one I would get one. Then I would be doing the talking. No note, just the camera.Hunt that Sob,get him on the camera & then you can pull the trigger.Demand compensation or go to the police. That is the only way these idiots get the message.
