Chadwick1
This may sound dumb, but what size field points would I need to buy to fit my GoldTip XT hunters? They have the standard inserts that came with them. Thanks!
Guest TennesseeTurkey
Just whatever you choose to shoot I think most people shoot 100 grains.....some like 125 some 85 or 75 just depends on what you prefer...they all should screw in if that what your worried about... Chadwick1
100 Gr. Is what Im shooting, but are that all the same diameter? Or is there a standard for carbon arrows?
Guest TennesseeTurkey
Im pretty sure most of them are universal for any arrow....Im not an expert tho ask the guys at you local bow shop

hutchies
No they aren't..............check with your local shop to see the exact diameter of the arrows. Goldtip makes some fied point that will match right up the the XT's It's either going to be a 5/16 or a 9/32 diameter............I can't remember for sure. GWSmith
Hutchies is right there are different sizes or diameters of shafts. Having the size of field point that is equal to or slightly larger in diameter will make target penetration much easier. Match the weight to the weight of broadhead and your good to go. Heres a few of the types you may find: You can also effectively change any screw-in field point into a judo point by adding a thin sheet metal washer between the point and the shaft. It will keep your arrows from digging under the grass when shooting at small game;)
