buckee
I'll second that. This isn't biased. It is most likely the truth ...sad, but true.
Texan_Til_I_Die
Obama is still riding a wave of popularity driven in large part by his unique circumstance (first black president) and by a lingering dislike for Bush. Give it some time for his economic and foreign policies to kick in, and then see what happens. Right now he's setting the U.S. economy up for a nasty round of inflation and is rapidly withdrawing support for our only true ally in the Middle East, Israel. When those two situations boil over in the next year or so, we'll likely see a major backlash.
wtnhunt
Guessing those who they polled are likely for the most part in areas where Obama was popular, which would explain the favorable ratings. It has not sunk in yet for most of those "feel good" voters who voted on the empty promises of "change" and "hope". I would suspect around these parts that those numbers would be dramatically different. Got to agree with Mike here, think in time we will see a shift in his popularity. stevebeilgard
it is biased. obama has slipped to a 62% approval rating. yes, 62% is good, but he's been going on a down hill slide since week 2. he started with a 70% rating. for those watching you'll remember bush had a (DAILY reported) 22% rating, while the congress got a (never reported) 9% rating. the only congress in history with a single digit rating, and it went un-reported. yes, folks, our news media is just a bit biased..... Texan_Til_I_Die
As of 3-9-09 his approval is at 56% and trending downward. If the media can successfully spin his reversal of Bush's policy to forbid federal funding of embryonic stem cell research into something positive, he will probably see a small bump.
