Griz
I've got to thinkin' before I get started... It would be real nice to have a Reloading Room so that we can share info and what not... With the price of ammo the way it is I can see that there is going to be more and more folks get into Reloading there own stuff... But anyways... Well I finally got my RCBS Rock Chucker Reloader all set up last week. I had a real good friend of mine come by and show me what to do... It wasn't as hard as I tought it would be really. Just have to take your time and pay close attention on what your doing... I've been havein' a blast. I've already loaded up 300 rounds for my 22-250 and 250 rounds for my 270... Shot a yote with one of the 22-250 rounds that I loaded at 250 yards. That load did a number on him...Rolled him up... Next week I'm going to start playin' with different loads... I'm kinda like a Kid with a new Toy... Griz...

Adjam5
Have fun with rollin' yer own:). If I can give ANY advice on this. Just make sure when you are into it, you do not get disturbed while you are in your groove. It is just too easy to get distracted and possibly forget to charge a case, then seat a bullet. Hear that pop with ear protection on and know something was not right. Check for obstructions in the barrel if the sound did not sound/feel like a bang. The primer could send a bullet and inch or so into the bbl, and the next round could have dire consequences on the shooter. Ain't nothing like shooting an animal with a shell you have loaded personally. I am a Rock Chucker myself:D. Enjoy your new toy!
Shaun_300
That's great Dale! I plan on buying a reloader off a coworker here soon, can't wait to make and tweak some loads for my .300 WSM and .25-06.
Doc
Have fun with rollin' yer own:). If I can give ANY advice on this. Just make sure when you are into it, you do not get disturbed while you are in your groove. It is just too easy to get distracted and possibly forget to charge a case, then seat a bullet. I'll second that!! One of the reasons why I am the world's slowest reloader is the additional number of checks that I do just to ensure that there were no mental lapses during the process. One of the last things I do before seating any bullets is to carefully scan the charged cases to see any that might be empty, or visually not at the same level as the rest of them. I also do a lot of spot-checks on scale calibration, just to make sure that nothing has changed. My reloading equipment is down in my basement shop, and I am seldom disturbed there while re-loading. I'm glad of that because I really don't like any distractions when I am re-loading. Doc
PA_Spike_King
Doc. You think your slow, you should come watch my Dad and I someday, we watch everything. It may take us a long time to do anything BUT it is all done the same with no screw up's.

So why not be a bit anal about re-loading.....lol. So far, the results have been worth it......and I haven't blown up any guns yet. elnor
+1 for creating a Reloading Room for discussions like this. A lot of us are interested in reloading, and as ammo gets scarce and prices continue to rise, I imagine even more of us will be interested. Doc
I dont see this happening. For some reason, giving load information is taboo here, read the sticky at the top of this forum. There may be some legal reasons for discouraging actual loading recommendations. I'm not sure what the legal exposures might be to Realtree if someone used info found here on this forum and something nasty happened as a result. I know in the world of law, there are some strange and surprising things that can happen that would seem totally unreasonable to any thinking person. wtnhunt
That is cool Dale. Thinking very seriously about getting reloading equipment here.
elnor
I'd like to see a Reloading area even if specific loads are verbotten. Actually, I'm most interested in info on the presses and other kit people are using and their experiences with them, rather than a particular load. Anyway, my 2 cents. Perhaps this forum could be expanded to include that kind of info (pretty much as we are doing now). I hate to see related topics getting scattered around too much. I see the subject of re-loading being a legitimate subject in a rifle forum and we should probably be using this room for that subject more than we do.
