Our oldest daughter (Christina) turns 13 today, so my parents came to visit over the weekend. Nicole, our 7 year old was just itching to show grandpa how she could shoot her .22 that she got for Christmas. She was a little concerned to shoot up until about a month ago due to her last surgery on her chest back in November and the problems she had with fluid pockets. She asks often now to go out and shoot.:)

Still have not put a scope on the gun yet, so she is shooting open sights, but all things considered I think she is doing pretty well. Nicole has always been the girly girl of our three daughters and she has not had as much interest in shooting really until last summer when I had our oldest out and we were shooting the AR. So anyway we did a little shooting over the weekend. Nicole put every shot in the target and she got some pretty good groups. She shot a coffee can off the top of a cardboard box a couple times, and near to finishing up she put one dead center of the bull. After looking at that last group she looked over and told me and her grandpa that she "thinks she is a better shot than Christina", her older sister.

Sounds like some friendly competition in the making to me.:D Sure makes a dad proud.

That's pretty cool William. Watch out, she may become a better shot than you!!! ;)

My boy has been expressing his interest in hunting here lately, so hopefully I can get him off the video games and out in the woods now!! :D

They may, that would not necessarily be a bad thing.:cool:

Happy B -Day Christina hope you had a great day and whats this i hear Nicole is shooting as good as you ?:) and William you have to be one proud papa :):) I'm glad Nicole is doing well

Pretty proud of the girls Frank.

Think our 3 year old may well end up being the most serious hunter. We watched a doe last Monday afternoon go through behind the house and she kept telling me I needed to shoot it.:rolleyes:
