Mirage
Ok i am sure you guys already know about this but here it goes..... I was pulling bushes out of the backyard last year with my foreman and warn winch."Yeah I know" and Burned up my junction block on my warn 2500lbs winch. So I go on ebay to buy a new one and I find one and I click on it . The ad give a great picture and says not the type involved in the recall. new design. So i think to myself maybe mine is on a recall. SO I goto warn webite and sure enough my block is recalled so I fill out the form and 4 days later on my front porch is a NEW contactor block! Now had the ebay lister just had a quick discription of the block I would have bought it and been none the wiser. So thnk you WARN! Anyway thought I would share my story and maybe some of you have a contactor block that is under recall. My winch is a 2500# warn atv winch. so maybe check it out! Shaun_300
Thanks for the info! I have a Warn RT25 2500lb winch on my 08 Outlander, it hasn't let me down yet! After seeing the recall description that William posted, I'm sure I have the one that isn't recalled. I'll double check to be sure though. Mirage
no problem I think it was issued in 06 so I am sure that after that they built them with the new style contactor.

hungry hunter
Back in 03 Warn had a recall on the 8 lug connector for the 2500. most of the atv dealers (Central Florida)denied it since they did'nt have a clue. A local dealer informed me to replace it with a solinoid that resembled a ford starting solinoid. when i connected the battery, lots of sparks:eek:. I told the same dealer, his answer was "that is what the prints show to replace your existing winch solinoid:mad:. It would cause fires on the atv. Warn sent me a replacement (4 lug) at no cost:D:D:D, changed it out in less then 15 minutes, no problems.
