Curdog
Hey guys. I just put in a resume for a summer job cruising timber near Middlesboro,Kentucky. A inside source told me that I will most likely be chosen. I am really excited and nervous. It will be a big change from Lower Alabama. I read that the land I will be cruising on has 80% slopes. Wow! How is the fishing up their. Any small creeks to wade for smallmouth or trout. What do ya'll fish with. Thanks!

Curdog
Cruising timber is when a forester appraises timber. Its a rather complex system.Sorry for the confusion. The job is for a timber management company up there. Again how is the fishing up there?

I dont have a boat but I do know one public lake that supplies the Pineville water system that gets stocked with between 5,000 and 10,000 Rainbows every year....I usually just fish off the bank you cant have a gas powered boat on that lake cause its a city water supply.....Now just south of here in Tennessee there is Norris, Cheorkee, Douglas and a few other BIG TVA lakes that people fish religiously.... HUNTINGMAN
Kentucky is home to some of the best fishing waters in this country, with just a little driveing from there you could be at some fine locations.I am not an avid fisherman but have lived here all my life and know the potential our state has,the small mouth fishing its fine and dale hollow lake is considered to be one of the best in the country.I am not sure were middlesboro is but if I new I may be able to point you in the direction of a few mor lakes that I have tried or heard about.
