Swamphunter
How many guys own an AR-15? I love shooting them, and although I don't think I would ever hunt with it, I am always in awe of the craftsmanship in the Colt model.
wtnhunt
I have a rock river varmint Ken, never shot a colt AR. I have a dpms lr308 on order, may be next year before I get it. Yep, lots of fun to shoot.

WaCoyote
I love your pics Gus!! I live where there are no hogs. All you hear is that you need a magnum because they're so hard to kill. Here you are smacking them with a .223. I love it. Does it flop them, or do they run a bit? Damn your lucky. I may have to get down there. Is there tags? Seasons??? How does hog hunting work?? Dakota
I've never used one for hunting, but I was able to shoot a Remington R-15 in .223 and a DPMS Panther AR-15 in .204 at the 2008 Professional Outdoor Media Association national conference field day. I shot over 300 rounds that day (around 180 were shotgun) and found both of them to be a pleasure to shoot. While working behind the gun counter at Sportsman's Warehouse I again encountered the R-15 and now that I've been layed off I reeeaaally want to purchase her sometime. All in all, I love to shoot ARs! Dakota

I don't carry big caliber guns, most times I have the AR with me, but if not the other 2 guns I carry are a 22-250 or my new 204, both of them will drop a hog also. No tags, no season, come on down and kill some hogs.

bluelund79
DPMS AR15(Panther Carbine). I have it set up for fun shooting, but after some time I may do a little more tinkering, for now it sports a hogue grip, and a Streamlight TLR2 on the front sight area. I am not a fan of rails so I am going to go with the hogue free float on the front later on after the kid gets out of diapers...
