Casey
James Hardy a WR for the Bills wears the #81 uniform. He's complaining about getting that number and says he will get it. He's already starting crap about stupid stuff and he hasn't been on the team more than a week and half.... hahaha what a loser.

I don't really see where he is starting anything. This happens with just about veteran player going to a new team. If they have been wearing a certain number their whole career, either the younger guy (in this case a guy in his second year) will either give the number up, or the veteran will offer some sort of compensation for it. The media gets it in everyones head that things like this are breaking news and big stories, this happens every year... but because this time it is T.O. it will get blown out of proportion like everything else does with him. hoosierhunter
Personally I hope Hardy tells him to shove it and he isn't getting the number. It's time someone stands up and makes a stand to him.....
hoythunter37
WOW what a winner. I think I might take my vote back about him being in the hall of fame. Shouldnt matter what number you wear!

Wow, you sound like his agent:D:D;).... Just my .02 cents, but from his past of getting cut back and forth, starting crap in the locker rooms, that he needs to come in and demand his number. That young player just happens to have two years up on him on the Bills. Michael Jordan came back and wore number 24 if I am correct. He didn't care what number he wore, he just wanted to play. Were you in the room with them? for all we know the guy offered it to him, or maybe he is paying him for it. Like I said before, the only reason this is "news" is because it is T.O. the any other time this happens it gets ignored. As for the locker room stuff, we weren't in there when it happened, so we have to take the medias word for it. Big or small the media turns it into a week long story. I'm not saying he is innocent, but all the guy does is speak his mind, the media is where everything gets blown up. Even things said "in house" (like they should be) gets leaked out and turns into ESPNs next drama mini-series. And no, I am not a fan of his either. Michael Jordan came back and wore number 24 if I am correct. He didn't care what number he wore, he just wanted to play. No, he came back and wore 45 (the number he wore playing baseball) then switched back to 23 during the middle of the playoffs. No, Michael wore #45, but not for any extended period of time... Just a little more info on this thread, Owens had already had #81 secure just after he signed w/ Buffalo... Right after he signed he was shown his locker and it already ad his name on the #81 jersey, so he never had to get in any kind of dispute w/ Hardy, Hardy had already given the # up... I will try and find the link, just so people don't think i'm blowing smoke up there behinds!:D:D

Posted: Around The Web | NFL.com Staff | Tags: Buffalo Bills, james hardy, Terrell Owens One of the perks of having a big-time free agent like Terrell Owens come to town is that a player’s number could become a lucrative commodity. The player who owns the number can sell it to his new teammate, often for a very nice price. James Hardy, who wore No. 81 for the Buffalo Bills last season, better not be expecting a payout from Owens, who told Shredd and Ragan of WEDG FM in Buffalo that when he walked into the Bills’ locker room, his name already was on the number. “As far as working deals out, I don’t know,” Owens said. “That’s not my department. I think Russ (Brandon, the Bills’ Chief Operating Officer) has to deal with that.” The Bills cleared up the matter Thursday when they announced that Owens will indeed wear No. 81 and Hardy will switch to No. 84. No word on whether Hardy’s jersey change netted him a big payday. Doesn't seem like he is complaining to me:confused:

Maybe I was in the room, ...nah I wasn't but was watching PTI and seen where he has been demanding his number. I could only believe it due to his past with engaging in arguments and starting crap. Yes sorry, I forgot it was 45. I was trying to remember off the top of my head. I do know his first comeback was against the Pacers.

You're absolutly correct. This stuff happens all the time. I bet James Hardy will get some sort of compensation from T.O. I use to work with Hardys cousin, I will see if I can find out what if anything he was given to agree to cough up the number.
