RangerClay
New to me that is. My pro shop just got a used 30" Drenlin on trade in today. I got the call and asked if I wanted it. I'm going over tomorrow and see what condition it's in. Certainly would be a big upgrade from Mission X3. What are some things I should look for on a used bow (and no Hoyt jokes please:D). I would like to know what to watch out for. Thanks
layin on the smackdown
Take a real good look at the cams and limbs...i would also request a bran new string for no charge...hope it fits you well;)
Arkansas Boy
yeah just look for cracked limbs, doubtful that your boys at the pro shop would've overlooked this. Beyond that just shoot it, see how it feels, and don't use their (previous owner) setup. Get it customized to you
hutchies
Inspect limbs and cams closely. I would definately buy new strings/cables and put on it. Marks around the mounting holes for rest and sight are normal.
Tom2008
Inspect limbs and cams closely. I would definately buy new strings/cables and put on it. Marks around the mounting holes for rest and sight are normal. Hutchies pretty much hit it on the head. Also look for other damage like finish, scratches, etc.

hutchies
Kyle on a Drenalin I would bet it's no less than $550 used.......rarely do I see a used one below that.
The_Kat
Not coming around, I just hate seeing people pay too much for something.
Tom2008
Not coming around, I just hate seeing people pay too much for something. I was thinking the same thing. We wouldn't want you to get a bad deal Ranger.
The_Kat
I just got off AT.com and not many for sale, but the final prices on the three I found were 550, 540, 560. So looks like hutchies was dead on the money.
Tom2008
I forgot my buddy just bought a used Drenalin for $500. He likes it a lot and it shoots great. No damage to it at all. Just put new strings on it too.
RangerClay
I'm curious....what are they asking for it? Thanks everyone. Not sure what he is asking for the bow yet. I'm going over to the shop at 2:30 to shoot it. I do know tha bow is only 1 year old.
okiedog
The Drenalin is a shooter for sure. I have not felt the urge to upgrade this bow since I bought mine new.
Dakota
The Drenelin is definitely an awesome bow, a buddy of mine recently ordered one straight from Mathews through Archery Outfitters. He's in love with the bow, it shoots great and has an awesome feel and now he's trying to sell his old Truth. Isn't the Drenelin what Bill Miller shoots? Swamphunter
Ranger, remember that what appears to be cracked or flaking paint is a sign of a cracked limb. You may not see a visible crack in the limb itself.... slide your hand up and down the limbs feeling for shards sticking off it.. even in the hard to feel places. I'd look through a magnifying glass... if any doubt, see if Mathews will replace the limbs for free with the warranty, then buy it!
RangerClay
I didn't buy the bow. It was a little too long for me and I didn't want to buy a new cam. I decided instead to buy a new rest for my bow and set aside the extra money for a new bow for my daughter. Thank you for the great advice everyone. AdvantageTimberLou
Sounds like you still won in this deal, your little girl is getting a new bow and you got a new rest! Our kids are the future and glad to see you got a future hunting buddy Joe!
