I've only used Triple Seven powder in this rifle. I can't get real black powder here and I can't stand Pyrodex. It's still in very good shape as that's only a handful of range trips. The GPR uses a hooked breech that fits into the tang. The peep is a Lyman one that fits without any modifications to the stock.
