Re: thoughts on the 280 rem

I have been shooting a .280 browning stainless stalker with a leopold 3.5x10x50mm for the last 8 or 9 years and I have no complaints. IMO One of the best calibers you could want. I know some people say that they have problems finding shells for it, but I shoot Winchester Ballistic Silver Tips and everytime I have ever been to Walmart to get some they have always had them. I have taken many deer and yotes with this rifle. JMO grin.gif

Why on earth would someone want the "same thing with more powder" as you put it? That creates more recoil to do the same thing, is not worth it. Once again, you are mistaken about the 7mm Rem Mag, it does not use the .300 Win Mag's powder charge or even have the same powder capacity.
