rhine16
Check this thread out. Alot of the questions and answers in it were geared toward broadheads: http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=82754 And also check out this one. http://www.realtree.com/forums/showthread.php?t=83134 I saw some pretty cool looking bh's called Turkey Terror(or Terrorizer) that are made for body shots. They look as if they are made to cut and "stop" your arrow. I'd have ordered them if they made em in 125 gr. I'm just going with my G5 Strikers. Never done this before, but I think that shot placement will be the key factor.
The Kid
i think any expandleable would be a good choice,, rather than a fixed broadhead so that the arrow doesnt pass all the way thought the bird,,, like rhine16 mentioned shot placement is key!! Covehnter
Should be able to do a search and find what you're looking for, there has been a lot of talk recently about broadheads for turkeys. I suggest a large cutting diameter expandable and a stopper behind whichever head you choose.
pointing_dogs_rule
"shot placement will be the key factor", just as RHINE says. I use muzzy 4 blades and they work just fine. Saw these at Cabelas the other day and they look cool. I bet that these do some wicked damage. I just read the reviews on Cabelas and they are definitely mixed. http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/links/link.jsp?id=0054470418355a&type=product&cmCat=SEARCH_all&returnPage=search-results1.jsp&Ntk=Products&QueryText=turkey+tearror&sort=all&_D%3AhasJS=+&N=0&Nty=1&hasJS=true&_DARGS=%2Fcabelas%2Fen%2Fcommon%2Fsearch%2Fsearch-box.jsp.form23&_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1 Good luck to all the dog
JimT
Pretty much any "good" broadhead will work. I have taken two. One with a Spitfire and one with a Snyper....
