bluelund79
Got a new Extreme 3 pin sight to replace my HHA adjustable. Anyways, I am looking to get a new peep when I get my new string and cables in a couple months, and am just picking things up as paychecks allow-new family member and all. What size G5 peep would fit best with this sight? I was thinking either the 3/16" over the 5/16", but would like to hear from you all first. I don;t want the kind with the tubing, as I already have it and the tube has broken enough times... Sorry for the lengthly post, but any help I get from here I trust! Thanks, Eric
tedicast
For hunting, I always use a 1/4" peep. Makes it easier to see in shadows, or low light situations. For target, I use a 3/16" peep on my bows.
The_Kat
I use a 1/4 inch for hunting.....1/8 inch for 3d and indoors.

Gator
I'm using a 1/4" for hunting, and for 3D I don't know yet. Shot with the 1/4" today, but most likely will be downsizing for the 3D season
m gardner
Get both and learn to tie them in yourself. Try them out to determine what works best for you. String angle and distance from your eye to the peep enter into this also. I had a little Martin Cheetah that had a severe string angle which put the peep further from my eye than normal and with my old eyes I couldn't focus and shoot it well. The peep works best as close to my eye as possible. If you love to shoot like most of us do spend the time to experiment. Mark
Tom2008
Yep the regular "Hunter" Meta peep is the best for that. 1/4"
AdvantageTimberLou
I use 3/16" on my bows.

Mark I agree with Mark on this completely...it's very hard to make an accurate suggestion for your personal likes/dislikes. I will make one suggestion though that may, or may not, help you decide: Pick a Peep that when looking through it at full draw...the housing on your sight fits perfectly inside of it! If you do that your natural reaction when looking through the peep will be automatically aligning the sight housing "Inside the circle"
pointing_dogs_rule
Personal choice. I use 1/4". Better for low light and when your eyes get a bad as mine, you need all the help you can get. good luck to all the dog

bluelund79
Thank you for everyones input, I am going to try the 1/4" and 3/16" at the pro shop I found local and see which is best with the new strings/cables they are going to put on. I can't believe I never knew his shop was there(favorite chunk of public hunting grounds is 1 block away!)
