Any remedies for sinuses?

So my one sinus is a pain, literally, lol. Yesterday I noticed the one side of my nose hurt with blowing, then my onecheek bone area is tender, then I was wondering my one of my teeth hurt...not sensitive, just a little sore with pressure. Mom said sinus, then I was looking up the symptoms and it said sinus pain can also mimic dental pain!

My cold is better though, still a little stuffy nose but nothing indicating bad infection, I won't go in details for fear of people being grossed out, but anything else I can do to help my sinus, I don't want to end up with an infection or something and have to go to the Dr. Anything you guys do? I'll keep taking the nasal decongestants and what not...

My "paying" job is at GNC - General Nutrition Center and what some of our clients do with success is take bee pollen for allergies, asthma and sinus problems. Also, they will place a few drops of tea tree oil in a pan of hot water and that opens their sinuses right up! But the "Mom" comes out of me and suggests that you go see a doctor, sinus infection can be very serious, especially if you can feel it in your teeth. It's too close to your brain to take any chances...

I too am plagued by sinus problems. Basically it seems like my sinuses are always clogged, even when I am not sick. I went to an ENT last week for an unrelated ear problem (story for another time) and mentioned my sinuses. He prescribed me something new called Veramyst. I haven't breathed this well in a long time. Of course, if I quit smoking, that would probably help also.:)

Whenever I have clogged sinusses, I take a hot shower, as hot as I can stand it, and for as long as I can take or as long as the hot water tank holds up. Then after, I put some Vics Vapor Rub inside of my blocked nostril(s). Then, off to bed.

Of course if you've got sinus infection, then it's best to see the doc and get an antibiotic. You have to remember with antibiotics, that you don't overuse them. Grabbing for an antibiotic too frequently can cause an imunity to them as well, which translates into their inaffectiveness when you really require them to work.

I have found when taking some of the non-presciption nasal meds orally, that they sometimes will work to a degree. But when most symtoms should normally disappear after the illness should have run its course, the post non-prescription meds syndrome usually causes extended after effects.

Bear in mind, I ain't no doc nor am I employed in the health industry. This is just my personal observations from my own experiences.

Everything in moderation.
