GWSmith
If your wondering how well your practice has progressed try imitating the real thing. In the link below there are recordings of live Turkeys to attempt to imitate. http://www.nwtf.org/all_about_turkeys/calling_tips.html Click on the "Pick a Call" popup menu then click on one of the different calls. One of the tricks I've used is to set Windows Media player(or whatever type player you have on your computer) to "loop" so it repeats continously. I've found it helps to close your eyes and practice so your able to get the correct sound without having to look at your call. I know the last thing I need to be doing is looking at my call when a Tom is needing coaxed away from his girlfriends;) Edited March 17, 2009 by GWSmith
redkneck
Somewhere i have a record of Jack Dudley making his calls. He was a friend of my uncles, and won world champion contests calling with his voice. I would play it when i was young learning the different calls. It was amazing listening to this guy. Neat link, thanks!
