WHISKEYSWAMP
Here's a couple I've had made... I have had 4 made and my taxidermist use to charge me $75 to do them. I think he might be around $150 now. $350 is way to much for a turkey rug and in my opinion. They're not that hard to make... get as much meat off as you can, spread the bird out and tack it down into position... then use borax to cure the skin... Below are a couple that members here have had done... can't remember who's they are. I saved them to help with ideas on mine.

Dakota
lol Well, I have a hunt in 23 days in the WY/SD Black Hills for two Merriams and I also have a hunt close to home for Easterns/Rios/Merriams hybrids. So 3 tags all told. The taxidermy for my Black Hills gobblers (assuming I do get one or two on the ground) will be paid for and I'm thinking of doing a flying mount and a gobblin' from the roost mount. The Newton Hills State Park bird (again assuming I dump one) I'll pro'ly have made into a rug like the pictures above. The wheels are indeed turning! KirkV
How's this one for your liking? It is mounted on a oak board with the head attached by my taxidermist. It was the first one of this kind he had done.
bowhunten4life
Here is one that I had done. I think it looks pretty good. It cost $
IowaDeerHunter
Guy around here does the best ones I have seen, it is like a few pictured here. He does it for $150. If it were me, $350 would be WAY to much. I have a hard time paying $150 for something like that but I am tight. lol
