Favourite pic of you in the outdoors

You'll have to excuse the quality. Had to use my camera to take the pics of the pictures.

Anyway...for several reasons this is one of my favorite pictures of me in the outdoors. This picture was my 1st Merriam turkey from my 1st Merriam hunt in 1998. The picture doesn't do justice to the scenery in this northern New Mexico setting.

Another reason this is one of my favorites is this was one of the most memorable turkey hunts I've ever had and the last turkey hunt I shared with Howard Miller. In the bottom pic I'm in the center and Howard is the hunter just right of me. He lost a fight with colon cancer the following spring so this was his last turkey hunt.

Well, I'm one of those idiots that lets so many memories fly by with no camera. I guess this is one of my favs. The same buck in my avi. Kids were so excited, they had found a big track one day while we were hunting, and to this day they think it was the same deer that i killed, and i dont let them think any different, so they could take some credit in finding the thing.

I wasn't in this one, but Hoyt 03 finally getting it done on a gobbler was a great day. I will mention he had a long beard comitted 1 hour before and got a little quick with the trigger. LOL

Great thing about pics is they all bring back memories.

Can someone tell me how to post a full size image, rather than a thumnail?

I use RT's Photo Post to post my pics on the net. Once they are posted I just right click, choose copy, and paste it here. Using RT's Photo Post it's best to downsize your pictures first to being close to 600x400 in size. ;)

I am usually on the opposite end of the camera. One of my favorite pics from last year.

Man they sure grow up fast.

Don't have too many good field photos of me, but this one from 2003 with the deer where it lay turned out ok and was kind of special after having had lung surgery a few months prior.

It is a shame that the pic of my ml buck I killed that same year the pics did not turn out real well, had my oldest two daughters in the pic and was a pretty decent mature buck.

William kind of brought up something I know for myself is just as good as some of these pictures....

What makes them so special to alot of us is not so much what the pictures show...but who was with us or taking the picture! We can look at the picture and instantly remember what we were looking at and how we felt.

Those smiles we were wearing has alot to do with the total situation and not just the pixels in print;)
