Weleetka is about 2000 if it's lucky, Holdenville is around 6500. It's definitely rural america.

dang 6500 is a good sized town....Middlesboro goes 5500

I'm curious why everyone thinks that this is fishy? Yes there is a possibility that it could be arson. If the fire started in a department store like the story states there is a huge fuel load in the space that will be a large contributor to the fire spread. Once it gets up in the cockloft (common attic) of the old buildings it is usually all over unless the FD can get a head of it. Looks like the crews did the best they could with what resources they had. :(

According to the news I saw yesterday, most likely caused by an electrical fault. Nothing suspicious about that

Here is a quote from the news story

"The fire started in the attic of Sharpe’s and does not appear to have been intentionally set, said JoAnne Sellars, operations chief for the state fire marshal’s office. Damage is estimated at about $1 million dollars, Sellars said Tuesday, adding that agents have not completed their investigation
