Turkeygirl
So when I was steelhead fishing last weekend, found that my old hip waders are all cracked and have some holes in them...not good, lol. They were just a cheap pair I've had for ages. Well stopped to check Walmart, I swear they are sexist...only had men's sizes 9 and up. Went to the local hunting/fishing shop, would rather support the local guy anyway, and they had a bunch of waders on sale and actually a chest wader, the canvas type, I think by Frogg Toggs, on sale for $50 so I'm going to stop today before clinical and see if I can one in my size. I think we'll be steelhead fishing this weekend again.
JimT
Nice. Hope they have your size. Steelhead fishing looks like a blast. Open water starts soon here... but there is not much open water yet....

buckee
All hunting and fishing gear around here is geared toward men's sizes too Ruth. Maybe someday they'll catch on that women hunt and fish too. Have fun ..eh
GWSmith
If I heard my Wife talk about buying hunting or fishing gear like that I would just melt! Good luck finding your size...and I comiserate with you in a way. It's also just as tough to find mens sizes for us people who are not L or XL:rolleyes: I do most of my fishing during the summer instead of the spring because of it too:(
Turkeygirl
Well I was able to get a pair in a boot size 8...size 7 was too small with a heavy sock but a size 8 fit. Little big up top but will fit if I have to wear heavy layers...maybe I'll model them for ya'll,lol. They have feklt soles...interested to see how they work as my old ones were rubber and those slipped on slipper rocks. Hope to try them out this weekend. BowtechsWife
Glad that you were able to find a pair that would work for you. I too like to support the local companies, they may not carry women's sizes, but at least they are willing to special order items in when I'm not in a hurry. Well that and Steve has banned us from shopping WalMart.

Tink
Make sure you wear a good tight belt around the top of the chest part of the wader if you slip and fall with a belt you can quickly drown a buddy drowned and he didn't use the chest strap. waders filled up and down he went tip from an old pro
