Pantlegs-Tuck In or Tuck over?

Howdy fellow turkey smashers! Just wanted to know if you guys tuck your pant legs over your boots, or tuck them into your boots!?

if I am wearing rubber boots.....most of the time I tuck them INTO the boot.

I use Rubber Knee Boots most of the time and I always tuck my pants inside my boots.

Most of the time here it's warm enough to wear regular hiking boots. So I generally use camo cargo pants that have draw strings on the leg bottom. If it's cold I'll wear my rubber boots and tuck into them;)

Depends on which boots I wear. If it's my slip on snake boots they go on the inside. Those are camo from top to bottom. If it's any of my other turkey hunting boots they go on the outside to keep brush, etc. from pulling on my boot strings so they don't come loose. I don't wear rubber boots for turkey hunting.

I have my pant legs on the outside, just more comfortable for me, if, however, i have to go through a creek to get to my hunting spot i will tuck them in, and then put them on the outside after i get to my spot...

I wear rubber boots and my coveralls or pants always go over the boots. Even if I'm crossing a creek, they will still be waterproof as high as the boots go, just have wet pants for a while. Also, while walking thru brush, sticks and briars don't get knocked into my boots making me have to stop and get them out.

I always tuck them inside my boots. Just in case there is any sent on the ends of my pants it wouldnt leave a sent trail on low brush areas. But i guess that really wouldnt matter as much with turkey. But it also keeps from the pant legs getting wet and all buggered up in the water and such.

With the ticks we've been having the last couple of years I am tempted to tuck them in. However, I have been wearing my "tacticals" that I can tie up snug.

Tucked inside, knee boots are to keep you dry, plus it keeps pant legs from rubbing and making noise. If your worried about scent, and keep pants outside you better be tying them off, cause scent can still come out

I agree, in turkey season I wear 'em on the outside...as much hiking as I do, it's just more comfortable.

Always during turkey season i wear them on the inside of my rubber boats.

I always tuck tightly into and find it helps cut down on ticks reaching ankles/legs a great deal. Especially with bug spray from boot bottom up to just below my waste.

I wear shorts and tennis shoes 98% percent of the time. If it's wet out or if I am doing fencing or working in thick brush I will wear my Danner snake proof's with the shorts. It's a sight to see:eek:

Turkey hunting with snake boots:

I wear my main pants inside and my outer loose leaf on the outside.

I pull the loose leaf off to go to lunch as I like to show off my snake boots and it looks better with them in.

Deer hunting with rubber boots:

Always inside.

I wear zipper up snake boots, so my pant legs are inside my boots.

On my own land, generally it's knee high rubber boots with pants tucked in (land is flat and wet). If on dryer land, hiking boots or sneakers and pants over the top.
