It's my first attempt.

It's a Scratch Box Turkey Call I'm just now finishing up. It's made out of Maple which I figured was appropriate for the area here. Before I started to protect her with the poly she sounded sweet! I'll re-tune her when that process is complete. She sounded clear at the start and raspy through the middle and end. I'm still suprised at how loud she is. When it comes time around here I'll initiate her and see if she can hunt;)

Be kind...She's still drying...and she's only half dressed:o:D

I've never seen a call like that Gary. Can't wait to see it finished.

Maybe when you're done, I can give you a call and you can play a tune for me. :D

When it's done I may just make a little video of it in action;)

Everything you always wanted to know about Scratch Box Calls and had no idea why:D Theres some nice pictures of other calls on this link:

Thanks...Appreciate the replys!

I learned one thing for sure...I like the way that hand sanding makes them look but it takes just shy of...forever!

I'm not going to tell you how many hours are in that thing:o

I'll keep making them one at a time so each one is slightly different. A good friend of mine told me to hang on to the first one but the next ones will be availible for sale.

I've got one order already...he's not in a hurry so his will be just as good as the first if not better;)
