Broadheads for turkeys?

Guillotine requires more then the broad head I believe. Not good for body shots I believe so that narrows your opportunity for success. It sure can ruin a taxidermists day too.

I like Magnus baldes myself.

Yep...i use the good ole Montec 100 grainers and aim for the sweet spot!!! those guilletines put a hole in the bird about the size of a softball if you dont lop their head off...

I use the G5 Tekan heads. I shot a tom last fall and he went about 5 yards and was done. I intend to use them again this spring. I have thought about using the guillotine and some of the other head shot heads but I do not want to restrict my range down as much as I think they will and I do not want to buy longer arrows.

This is my opinion, but I think just about any broadhead will work. The key is is shot placement, not the broadhead. Turkeys are not hard creatures to kill but their vital zone is very small compared with big game animals. There are quite a few heads just designed for turkey and then there are the expandables. Personally I have had great success with the old NAP Thunderheads and currenty the G5 Monotec. Dont much matter to me, I'll use them on anything.

Here's a bird I took yesterday at 15 yards with a 100gr. G5, slightly quartering facing away, entry was just above right theigh and exit was just left of the beard. He went about 15 yards and collapsed.
