wtnhunt
Had them when I was a kid, long time ago. All three of my daughters have had the chicken pox vaccine and they all have had mild cases of the chicken pox at some point.

RangerClay
LOL! I had them as a kid but my wife got them for a second time when she was about 30. Left some nasty scars. Take those oatmeal baths, I think they were called Oveno or something like that, they really helped her a lot!!!!!! Good luck, enjoy your time off from work and don't scratch too much. Tominator
All of us kids had them over a span of about a month when I was a kid. I got a real mild case as I recall.

fly
Had it when I was about 12 I think. Lasted 2 weeks and I must have scratched the heck out of one because it left a scar near my ear. Nasty little virus that varicella zoster.
redkneck
Yeah, i remember being painted pink with calamine lotion as a kid, those things are pretty bad. If anyone here hasnt had them i would suggest getting a vaccine. Dont know if it's exactly the same as that shingles vaccine, but it's the same virus that hits older ppl and is extremely painful, so your protecting yourself from not only itching, but severe pain as well when you get older should you get it. I've never had the mumps though, even though my two sisters had them at the same time. Get well soon ... eh
