Doc
About how many times can you reload .223 cartridges before you start seeing some signs of failure? I know this will vary depending on how hot the loads are, and who the case manufacturer is, but in your experience with whatever loads you are using, how many times do you expect to reload a case before it has to be discarded? hangunnr
For my bolt guns I'd expect to see 10+ reloads because of minimal working of the brass during the load process. If I get 5 reloads from the brass that gets full length sized for my semi auto I'll be happy. If you start with the best brass you can get good life from it. hangunnr

Doc
Generally speaking, all my reloads are neck-sized only. That should extend the case life radically. Also, I am not a "speed-freak" and my loads tend to be "middle of the road" loads. That too should extend the life a bit. The only case failures that I have ever seen were reloads using old brass reloaded by someone else (inherited brass), and I have not reloaded new brass enough times to really know how many times I can reload them.
