Turkeygirl
Was wondering if anyone owned one...knows anything about them? What's the price range? Any under $200 or know where there's a good deal? I was researching online and heard the SG550 worked pretty well...the things I've heard about Cuddeback are scaring me,lol. Was wondering about the Moultrie I40 as well...?? Anyway looking for input?

wtnhunt
Anyone?? Someone posted about them a good while back Ruth. Don't think those cams ever gained a lot of popularity. Pretty sure that chasingame has a review on them, might check out the link in the other thread.
Flintlock1776
They look interesting but I have 2 trail cams and just don't have the need for any more. I wonder why they did not take off as hoped?
Turkeygirl
I was asking about them over on archery talk and what not and alot of people are saying good things about them actually....

IowaDeerHunter
Hear a lot of good things about them. The videos are great and I love them. Not a fan of the pictures though. JMO
Turkeygirl
why? I guess they take decent video, have a quick trigger time, decent pictures, small size, though I hear the night time pics aren't that great
punkinslinger
I have one and it works very well...good pics and video. I like the infrared feature so the flash does not give away the cams locale if I have to put it on gamelands where theft is common. You can check out pics and reviews on www.huntingpa.com in the trail cam section. I bought mine from a sponsor on this site by the name of Joe from Bee Busy...he is very helpful with any questions and usually answers my e-mail questions within the same day I send them. buckbuster11
I have a Scoutguard and love it. You should be able to get one in the $200 range. I got mine and 2 memory cards for $220 I think it was. Battery life is awesome, and it takes AA batteries as opposed to C's or D's or bigger like alot of the other cams. Trigger speed is also awesome. The video feature is the best I've seen on a trail cam. Night time shots aren't as good as others because the IR flash isn't very strong but it's still not to bad. It's got great reviews too. I know tons of guys on other forums that love them, and I know at least as recently as this summer chasinggame.coms reviews for them were very good. Flintlock1776
I hear there will be some Trail Cams out around July that will also record sound with the video. Very few do now. I'm gonna wait and stick with my Moultries until then

Turkeygirl
I'm thinking about the Scoutguard....I've seen actually some decent nighttime photos on them....and being small is a bonus...less chance to be seen...
Stickslinger
I just put my new scoutguard out in the woods, I tested it around my house and everything work fine. Quick trigger speed, infrared but you still see a red glow when it takes a picture at night, night shots not as good as some but better than others. Daytime pictures are great, very compact, about the size of your hand, I purchased the bearsafe box to go with mine, remote control outlet is a little tight but I'm sure it will get better with time. Do search on scoutguard camera and check with all the dealers, some are offering package deals with free shipping. Haven't heard much about customer service, hopefully I will not have to worry about that for awhile. Rodney
Flintlock1776
If you have a LOT of time these guys do a very in-depth review of a wide variety of trail cams. No speed reading on this site! http://www.chasingame.com/forum/index.php
camocop
never had any problems with my Moultrie I40, it takes great pic's...day and night. it also runs off the same set of batteries for about 4-5 months. here are some sample pic's... crazyfarmer
i thought about trying one, but ive been more than impressed with the cuddeback capture. I cant stand the IR model though. My bro in law bought that and had to send it back. The night time images were VERY BAD! I have 5 captures and each work flawless. I paid anywhere from 125-179 for them each. Simple setup and very good pics(im picky about images). I would love to get a high end camera, but I can get 5 of these for the price of 2 high end ones and the images are just as good;) It all depends on how much land you have to put them on. I have roughly 1000 acres so 2 cameras dont help me much. I try to get one in every 100-200 acre area. Batteries last well over 4 months for me, but thats on a average of 10-15 pics per night.
